Located in the hinder-lands of the Salcate Taluka Margao is the second largest town of South Goa. Just 33 km from Panjim it is an emerging commercial center. This town is a true symbol of the Portuguese architecture and culture. The scenic beauty of this town has mesmerizing powers and attracts lots of travelers from all around the world.

Beaches: Colva and Benaulim beaches are the major tourist attractions of Margao.
